The case of Chan Tong-kai

Chan Tong-kai, the suspect of the Taiwan murder case, has been released from prison having served his sentence for money laundering. It remains uncertain when he can surrender himself to Taiwan. The Taipei authorities have not stopped their political manoeuvring, changing their positions repeatedly over the past few days and making a matter that could have been handled in a simple manner more and more complicated. To the family of the victim and Chan himself, this is a kind of psychological torture.
