A Letter to Sandy

Dear Sandy,

I’m glad that you invited me to go to the party with you. However, I can’t be there because of my friend, Pat.

Pat is the most wonderful guy that I’ve ever met in my life. He’s the most intelligent and hardworking boy in the class. He always gets impressive results and he is also willing to help me with my homework. He never stops encouraging me to put more effort into preparing for the HKCEE. He is also determined in improving himself to be a better person. He never gives up when he comes across any difficulties. His determination and persistence to succeed have also livened me up.

I strongly believe that Pat loves you deeply. When he dates you, he always plans everything in advance. He wants to give you a happy memory every time when you meet him. He has even talked about marrying you when you two are old enough. How deep his love is! How can you betray him?

You should treasure your relationship with Pat. Although we are still secondary students, we have to learn how to develop a genuine love relationship. Having true love is a gift. I can’t betray my friend and you can’t ignore Pat’s feelings.

There’re a lot of girls showing their affection to him as well. If I were a girl, I would also date him so you should not do anything to hurt him. Otherwise, you will definitely regret for what you have done. You should invite Pat to be your partner instead of me. Don’t worry about me. I’m going to go to the party with my sister.
